The essence of the value of art is so simply captured in this sentence. An answer and a beginning to my pursuit.

 

Fascinated by how this dynamic unfolds, and from a sense of delight and gratitude in bringing forth genuine encounters, I cultivate an artistic practice researching, hosting and amplifying our encounters with art.

 

My practice is a weaving of inquiry and expression.
Philosophical inquiry forms the root from which my performative hosting unfolds. Each encounter nourishes the inquiry it emerges from. One holds the other, and the other deepens what it holds.

On one side, I create frameworks that explore and honour the value of art through analytical, philosophical, and poetic lenses. On the other, I embody this inquiry by hosting through creating, curating, and performing with my presence (transition) spaces for profound encounters with art.

​

I currently focus on two movements: the way we meet art and the way we deepen and embed this connection. I host transition spaces that invite guests into slowness, stillness, and openness, attuning to themselves, the space, and one another as they encounter the artwork. Following the encounter, I guide reflection on what touched us and how this resonance may be gently embedded, cultivating inner wisdom. This unfolds within the series EMBED.

Art has touched, moved, transformed, and healed me, nurturing a deep inner wisdom. It is this that I wish to share and hold space for in others.
